PANGKALPINANG – Kondisi listrik di Pulau Bangka mengalami defisit 25 MW atau megawatt lantaran tersedot untuk kebutuhan industri seperti tambak udang, smelter timah dan penambahan daya atau pemasangan daya baru oleh masyarakat umumnya.
Hal ini diungkapkan General Manager PLN UIW Bangka Belitung, Ajrun Karim, saat rapat dengar pendapat (RDP) dengan Komisi III DPRD Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung di ruang rapat Komisi III, Jumat (24/3/2023).
“Daya listrik Pulau Bangka saat ini dalam kondisi defisit 25 megawatt. Kita sudah usulkan ke PLN pusat,” kata Ajrun.
Menurut Ajrun, ketika kabel bawah laut terkoneksi ke Pulau Bangka, maka dari 9 pembangkit yang ada, sebanyak 6 pembangkit atau PLTD dialihkan ke Pulau Belitung.
Akibatnya, ketika terjadi kendala teknis maka PLN tidak punya pembangkit yang cukup sebagai cadangan ketika terjadi kondisi darurat seperti saat ini.
“Ini jadi pelajaran bagi kami, kedepan pembangkit listrik yang sudah ada harus selalu stanby meski pun nganggur (tidak terpakai..red),”ujar Arjun.
Ditambahkan Manajer Pemasaran UP3 Bangka, Eko Hadianto, sebenarnya listrik yang ada cukup, hanya saja karena ada kendala teknis maka suplay terganggu.
“Apalagi kalau suplay dari Palembang melalui kabel bawah laut sudah pulih, untuk mengcover industri pun surplus. Sehingga bisa mendukung pertumbuhann industri di Pulau Bangka,” kata Eko.
Sementara Ketua Komisi III Adet Mastur, menanyakan solusi apa yang memungkinkan diambil mengingat kondisi listrik Pulau Bangka sejak Selasa pekan ini mengalami pemadaman secara bergilir lantaran robohnya 5 tower di Palembang, Sumatera Selatan.
“Solusi jangka pendeknya apa yang bisa kita lakukan?” kata Adet.
Menanggapi hal ini sejumlah langkah disepakati dengan Komisi III akan diambil seperti pemadaman penerangan jalan umum atau PJU dan meminta sejumlah pihak terutama pelanggan industri agar pada waktu waktu tertentu mengurangi pemakaian daya suplay listrik dari PLN dan memanfaatkan genset internal mereka.
Selain itu masyarakat dihimbau agar menghemat dalam menggunakan listrik. (fh/wah).
