JAKARTA – Gagasan Menteri Badan Usaha Milik Negara (BUMN) Erick Thohir agar federasi sepak bola Indonesia PSSI dibongkar total mendapatkan respon positif dari publik luas. Pasalnya, hal itu dinilai demi menciptakan ekosistem sepak bola Indonesia yang baik dan meningkatkan prestasi tim nasional.
Pengamat sepak bola nasional Budiarjo Thalib menyambut baik usulan dari Erick Thohir tersebut. Menurutnya, dengan dibenahinya sistem manajemen federasi sepak bola Indonesia (PSSI) akan berpengaruh pada kualitas sepak bola Indonesia ke depan, dan bisa menyamai negara Asia lainnya yang berlaga di Piala Dunia 2022 seperti Jepang dan Korea Selatan (Korsel).
“Saya pikir Indonesia bisa maju dengan keterwakilan Asia oleh Jepang, Korsel dan Australia. Pasti kita juga mau, siapa sih yang mau mundur. Itu terlepas dari bagaimana kita membina dan melatih pemain-pemain muda, dan struktur olahraganya yang lebih bagus,” kata Budiarjo Thalib saat dihubungi, Selasa (6/12).
Mantan pelatih Sriwijaya FC itu meyakini sepak bola Indonesia ke depan akan lebih maju dan setara dengan Jepang. “Insyaallah semua akan sama, dan setara dengan Jepang dll. Lebih maju untuk kedepannya,” ujarnya.
Diakui Budiarjo, para pelatih baik Timnas maupun pelatih klub Liga Indonesia sudah berusaha agar pemainnya bisa menembus klub top liga Eropa atau klub liga Asia, dan itu sudah mulai terlihat hasilnya.
“Kita sudah berusaha yah, selama ini kan sudah banyak pemain Indonesia yang main di klub-klub Asia. Cuma belum di klub ternama seperti Manchester United dll,” akuinya.
“Tetapi alhamdulillah, ada Saddil Ramdani, ada beberapa juga termasuk Asnawi, Bagus Kahfi, Witan Sulaiman, Pratama Arhan. Baguslah kalau Indonesia dilirik oleh klub-klub Eropa. Ini saya melihat sudah banyak yang melirik juga. Jadi bersyukurlah, seperti itu,” sambungnya.
Budiarjo Thalib memastikan pemimpin PSSI selanjutnya harus mampu mengelola organisasi, karena yang memahami sepak bola belum tentu bisa membawa perubahan buat sepak bola Indonesia, karena titik krusialnya ada pada manajemen organisasi.
“Dengan mengubah atau mereformasi sepak bola Indonesia, belum bisa dikatakan kalau berubah. Berubahnya, Indonesia belum tentu. Siapa pun dia (Ketuanya) saya pikir yang penting bisa berorganisasi dengan bagus,” jelasnya.
Namun, Budiarjo berkeyakinan sepak bola Indonesia ke depan akan lebih maju dengan berbagai cara, salah satunya adalah membenahi ulang liga Indonesia. Untuk timnas sendiri, lanjut Budiarjo sudah mengalami peningkatan yang bagus di bawah pelatih Shin Tae-Yong.
“Insyaallah Indonesia kedepannya pasti lebih maju lagi lah, dengan sepak bola. Liga Indonesia harus dibenahi agar makin profesional. Sama seperti orang-orang yang dikatakan bahwa Indonesia akan dibenahi, itu sudah menjadi keharusan dan bagus,” ungkapnya. Semua pasti mau maju. Dan, saya lihat perkembangan di Indonesia selama dilatih Shin Tae-yong, kita tahu (Indonesia) lebih maju,” jelasnya lagi.
Lebih jauh Budiarjo, kejutan tiga negara Asia di Piala Dunia Qatar patut dijadikan pelecut semangat buat kemajuan sepak bola Indonesia. Ketiga negara itu adalah Jepang, Korsel dan Australia yang berhasil membuat kejutan di Piala Dunia 2022.
“Insyaallah (bisa menjadi pelecut semangat Timnas Indonesia) dengan adanya 3 wakil Asia, saya pikir kita lebih maju. Dan, itu menjadi barometer sepak bola Asia. Dan, mudah-mudahan Indonesia tentunya bisa maju,” ucapnya.
“Harapan saya, Timnas Indonesia di bawah didikan Shin Tae-yong banyak perubahan dibuat, sepak bola Indonesia bisa lebih bagus lagi lah. Kita lihat hasilnya nanti di Piala AFF,” tutup Budiarjo. (***)
