PANGKALPINANG – Sekda Kota Pangkalpinang, Mie Go menjadi pembina apel memperingati Hari Lingkungan Hidup Sedunia di halaman kantor Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Kota Pangkalpinang, Senin (5/6/2023).
Di hadapan peserta apel, Mie Go membacakan sambutan Menteri Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan pada peringatan Hari Lingkungan Hidup Sedunia yang diselenggarakan setiap tanggal 5 Juni, dimulai ketika Majelis Umum PBB tahun 1972 menetapkan 5 Juni sebagai Hari Lingkungan Hidup Sedunia pada saat Konferensi Stockholm.
“Akhirnya saya mengajak untuk kita terus menggalakkan berbagai langkah dan upaya untuk mendorong kehidupan yang berkelanjutan secara kondusif agar lingkungan sehat,” kata Mie Go membacakan sambutan Menteri LHK.
Mie Go juga mengapresiasi petugas kebersihan dan seluruh pegawai DLH Pangkalpinang atas jerih payah dan kerja kerasnya membantu membersihkan setiap sudut kota.
“Kami memberi penghargaan sebesarnya kepada teman-teman di lapangan maupun kantor. Saya tau betul susah payah dan kerja kerasnya seperti apa, karena saya pernah bertugas di DLH ini dari tahun 2014 sampai dengan 2017,” tutur Mie Go.
Selain itu, dia juga mengingatkan pada momentum ini agar menjaga kelestarian lingkungan hidup.
“Minimal dari diri kita dulu menjaga kelestarian lingkungan. Tapi saya yakin dan percaya peserta apel di sini melakukan itu semua, karena saya juga pernah merasakan jadi bagian dari sini,” ucapnya.
Kepala Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Kota Pangkalpinang, Bartholomeus Suharto merasa senang semua bidang dan petugas kebersihan yang tergabung di DLH ikut memperingati Hari Lingkungan Hidup ini. Dia menyebut, momentum ini dijadikan sebagai rasa syukur dan semangat untuk meningkatkan pelayanan ke masyarakat.
Suharto berharap ke depan pihaknya dapat memaksimalkan pelayanan dan meningkatkan kolaborasi Bersama pihak kelurahan maupun stakeholder lainnya.
“Ke depan kita akan memaksimalkan kolaborasi dalam membangun Pangkalpinang dalam hal lingkungan hidup. Jadi kita Bersama-sama bukan sendiri-sendiri dalam menjaga lingkungan. Bagaimana membangun kolaborasi dengan kelurahan, masyarakat maupun swasta,” kata Suharto.
“Kari ini semua dating untuk merayakan momentum ini. Jarang-jarang sekali semua bisa kumpul pada apel pagi. Senang mereka semua kumpul di sini, saya juga terenyuh dengan momentum Hari Lingkungan Hidup ini. Ini menunjukkan bahwa kami siap untuk memberikan pelayanan terbaik ke masyarakat,” tambahnya.
Terkait kesejahteraan petugas kebersihan, Suharto menuturkan Wali Kota Pangkalpinang sudah menyampaikan ini dalam beberapa kesempatan untuk menaikkan pendapatan mereka. Suharto menyebut, pihaknya akan berusaha memberikan yang terbaik.
“Sudah disampaikan pak wali kota. Mudah-mudahan ABT atau di anggaran tahun 2024 bisa dilaksanakan. Ini untuk meningkatkan gairah kerja mereka sehingga adanya kenaikan pendapatan,” ucapnya.
Suharto juga mengimbau terkait sampah plastic agar masyarakat dapat melakukan 3R (Reuse, Reduse dan Recylce) dan melakukan pemilahan melalui bank sampah.
Di akhir apel, Sekda Mie Go, Asisten Perekonomian dan Pembangunan dan Kepala DLH menyerahkan piagam penghargaan untuk beberapa instansi dan kelurahan serta membagikan bibit pohon. Peringatan Hari Lingkungan Hidup Sedunia ini diwarnai sukacita oleh seluruh peserta apel yang didominasi oleh petugas kebersihan.
