AKTIVITAS illegal logging atau pembalakan liar di Hutan Lindung Gunung Tajam, Kecamatan Badau, Kabupaten Belitung, masih saja terjadi.
Gunung Tajam adalah Kawasan Taman Bumi, yang salah satu Geositenya setelah menjalani proses yang cukup panjang merupakan satu dari 17 Geopark Belitong yang ditetapkan sebagai UNESCO Global Geopark pada Sidang ke 211 Dewan Eksekutif UNESCO yang diselenggarakan secara virtual dari Paris, Kamis (15/4/2021).
Penetapan Geopark Belitong sebagai UNESCO Global Geopark, merupakan upaya bersama pemerintah pusat dan daerah maupun akademisi, pemuda dan masyarakat lokal.
Gunung Tajam merupakan sebuah gunung yang terdapat di Pulau Belitong dan menjadi titik tertinggi di pulau tersebut. Gunung Tajam memiliki ketinggian 510 meter di atas permukaan air laut (Mdpl).
Secara fisik Gunung Tajam merupakan sebuah rangkain perbukitan dengan empat puncaknya dengan ketinggian 200-500 mdpl yaitu Puncak Tura, Puncak Kuwak (Tajambini), Puncak Tajam (Tajamlaki) dan Puncak Nibung, mengelilingi sebuah lembah tapal kuda terbuka ke arah barat. Sungai yang berhulu di gunung ini adalah Sungai Cerucuk dan Sungai Buding.
Dari puncak Gunung Tajam keindahan seluruh tepi Pulau Belitung tampak. Keindahan, kesakralannya digambarkan melalui lagu berjudul “Gunung Tajam” ciptaan Abdul Hadi.

Di salah satu sisi puncak Gunung Tajam yaitu Puncak Tajam, ada sebuah makam yang dikeramatkan oleh penduduk Kabupaten Belitung. Penduduk menyebut makam tersebut adalah makam Syekh Abubakar Abdullah seorang ulama terkenal asal Pasai yang menyebarkan Agama Islam di wilayah Buding, Belitung, yang ketika itu masih berstatus Ngabehi. Makamnya masih terawat dengan baik hingga kini dan banyak dikunjungi para peziarah.
Selain itu, yang menjadi tujuan wisata, juga terdapat sebuah air terjun bernama Air Terjun Gurok Beraye di pinggang sisi barat Gunung Tajam ini. Untuk menjangkaunya yaitu melalui Dusun Air Pegantungan, Desa Kacang Botor, Kecamatan Badau.
Sejumlah pohon berukuran beberapa peluk orang dewasa berusia ratusan tahun berdiri kokoh menjulang. Selama ini pohon ini dikhawatirkan dijarah oknum yang tak bertanggung jawab. Apa lacur, sebagaimana diberitakan suarabangka.com grup suarapos.com, Kamis (27/10/2022), roboh digergaji mata chainshaw.
Dalam foto-foto tampak bagaimana pohon yang dicincang itu masih tersisa. Beberapa jeriken dan tenda beratapkan terpal milik para pembalak liar itu masih utuh.
Aktivis, netizen, Ketua Fordas Babel Fadilah Sabri, bahkan Wakil Bupati Belitong Isyak Meirobie murka. WALHI Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung melalui Ketuanya Jessix Amundian mendesak pihak terkait segera mengevaluasi pengawasan atas Gunung Tajam selama ini.
Review dalam aspek pengawasan yakni pemantauan dan evaluasi tak bisa ditawar lagi. Begitu pula aspek penegakan hukum.
Pihak terkait juga harus transparan soal apakah ada izin pengelolaan kawasan ini kepihak tertentu atau tidak? Siapa saja? Harus dievaluasi. Jangan sampai menimbulkan spekulasi di kalangan aktivis dan publik.
Pengelolaan dalam artian pengawasan haruslah berbasis masyarakat adat atau masyarakat lokal. Masyarakat harus terlibat aktif agar merasakan manfaat dan tidak luntur kecintaan atas Gunung Tajam.
Apalagi masyarakat adat atau lokal setempat yang secara turun temurun telah menjaga lanskap Taman Bumi Nasional Bukit Tajam dengan nilai-nilai arif dan lestari terhadap alam dan lingkungan. Bagi mereka Gunung Tajam adalah sesuatu yang sakral.
Maka patut menjadi tanda tanya besar ketika masyarakat mulai apatis bahkan dengan leluasa baik siang maupun malam terjadi pembalakan liar.
Nilai-nilai yang arif dan lestari ini harus dijaga, jangan dibiarkan tergerus oleh aktivitas industri ekstraktif. Pemulihan lingkungan harus berangkat dari nilai-nilai yang arif dan lestari tersebut.
Kebijakan yang salah terhadap model pengelolaan Gunung Tajam akan semakin memperburuk keadaan. Sebab, yang terjadi bukannya masyarakat sebagai benteng penjagaan, namun justru sebaliknya. Kebijakan yang salah justru akan merobohkan benteng pertahanan atas Gunung Tajam. Sekali lagi: benteng itu adalah masyarakat adat atau lokal sekitar.
Jika benteng itu jebol maka robohlah pohon di Gunung Tajam, satu persatu. Padahal merobohkan pohon-pohon itu sama saja dengan merobohkan eksistensi peradaban manusia itu sendiri. Jika ini dibiarkan alamat bencana ekologi pasti terjadi! (*)
