TANGERANG – Salah satu upaya Pemerintah Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung (Babel) dalam mendorong kemajuan dunia pariwisata, yakni mengakomodir berbagai even berskala nasional maupun internasional, untuk diselenggarakan di Bumi Serumpun Sebalai.
Untuk mewujudkan hal tersebut, Pj Gubernur Kepulauan Babel Suganda Pandapotan Pasaribu, menyambangi dan melakukan diskusi bersama Director of Flight Operation Indonesia Air Asia, Captain Wuri Setiawan, di Gedung Air Asia Red House, Tangerang, Banten pada Senin (5/6/2023).
“Kami senang diterima hari ini, kedatangan kami hari ini tidak hanya dalam rangka silaturahmi dan menjajaki, namun juga menginginkan langsung action,” ungkap Pj Gubernur Suganda.
Pj Gubernur Suganda, dalam kesempatan tersebut menerangkan, bahwa Kepulauan Babel selalu kekurangan pesawat. Menurutnya, jika hal tersebut tak segera diatasi, maka akan berdampak kurang baik bagi masyarakat dan pelaksanaan even berskala nasional dan internasional.
“Sudah sangat banyak di Kepulauan Babel, program yang bersifat domestik maupun internasional, dan melalui pertemuan ini pihaknya ingin membahas apa saja hal bisa dikerjasamakan,” ujarnya.
“Sebelum kesini, kami tadi ke Kompas TV, talkshow tentang pariwisata. Terkait penerbangan, saat talkshow di Kompas TV tadi, kami sampaikan bahwa Kepulauan Babel ingin memiliki 2 bandara yang berstatus bandara internasional, di Bangka dan di Belitung,” imbuhnya.
“Hal ini juga sudah kami sampaikan ke Menparekraf. Pak Sandi kemaren sempat bilang bahwa hal ini akan dibawa ke Rapat Terbatas (Ratas) bersama Presiden. Jika Ratas itu jadi dilakukan oleh Menparekraf hari ini, maka hal ini akan disampaikan langsung ke Presiden,” imbuhnya lagi.
Pj Gubernur Suganda berharap, pihak Air Asia bisa berkontribusi memajukan sektor pariwisata di Kepulauan Babel, dengan membuka penerbangan rute Bangka dan Belitung.
“Semoga dengan datangnya kami ke sini, dapat membuka peluang dan bisa langsung eksekusi. Tentunya, kami harap masyarakat Kepulauan Babel bisa menikmati,” harapnya.
“Ini juga termasuk program penekanan inflasi, karena penerbangan merupakan salah satu indikator penyebab inflasi. Ke depannya akan ada Asean Blue Economic Forum, di mana Menteri Perencanaan negara-negara Asean akan datang ke Kepulauan Babel,” terangnya.
Menanggapi hal ini, Director of Flight Operation Indonesia Air Asia, Captain Wuri Setiawan, menerangkan bahwa dulunya Air Asia pernah membuka penerbangan rute Belitung.
“Kami sangat serius dengan hal ini. Dulu Air Asia pernah membuka penerbangan ke Belitung, namun kondisi saat itu membuat Air Asia harus istirahat,” terang Captain Wuri.
Ia berharap, kedepannya destinasi wisata di Kepulauan Babel terus bertambah seiring dengan ditambahnya pesawat dan rute penerbangan Air Asia ke Pulau Bangka dan Belitung.
“Semoga, jika apa yang disampaikan pak Pj tadi kami akomodir, itu bisa menambah destinasi wisata di Provinsi Kepulauan Babel,” tutupnya.
Diketahui, sebelum menyambangi Gedung Air Asia Red House, Tangerang, Banten, Pj Gubernur Suganda bersama rombongan melakukan talkshow di Kompas TV, memaparkan sejumlah program tentang pariwisata.
Turut hadir mendampingi Pj Gubernur Suganda dalam kesempatan tersebut, GM Angkasa Pura II Pangkalpinang M Adiwiyatno, dan Kepala Dishub Kepulauan Babel, Asban Aris. (***)
