PANGKALPINANG – Penjabat (Pj) Gubernur Bangka Belitung (Babel), Suganda Pandapotan Pasaribu menyampaikan sejumlah amanatnya saat melepas kontingen Babel yang akan mengikuti Indonesia Martial Arts Games (IMAG) atau Pekan Olahraga Beladiri Nasional (POBN) di Rumah Dinas Gubernur, Kamis (19/10/2023)
IMAG sendiri pertama digelar Komite Olahraga Nasional Indonesia (KONI), sebagai multievent nasional rutin untuk cabang olahraga bela diri. Di ikuti beberapa cabor, antara lain Anggar, Shorinji Kempo, Jujitsu, dan Hapkido akan dipertandingkan di Kota Bekasi.
Sedangkan Kickboxing, Sambo, Gulat, dan Wushu akan dipertandingkan di Kota Bogor, serta Taekwondo akan dipertandingkan di Cibubur. Selain itu, IMAG yang rencananya akan diselenggarakan di Provinsi Jawa Barat juga menjadi ajang babak kualifikasi Pekan Olahraga Nasional (PON) XXI Aceh-Sumatera Utara (Sumut) Tahun 2024.
Beberapa pesan disampaikan oleh Pj Gubernur Babel, terkhususnya tentang sportivitas saat bertanding nantinya. “Sebagai olahragawan kita harus sportif, dan tetap berjuang untuk menjadi kebanggaan Bangka Belitung,” ungkap Suganda.
Ia juga meminta para atlet tidak mudah patah semangat karena gagal memberikan penampilan terbaik sebagaimana dalam menempuh latihan sebelumnya. “Tentu kita berharap yang terbaik sebagai ikhtiar kita, walaupun sudah berlatih, kadang-kadang mental juga mempengaruhi,” ucapnya.
Sebelumnya, Ketua kontingen Babel untuk IMAG 2023, Yan Megawandi menuturkan ada dua cabor yang diikutsertakan oleh Babel yakni Taekwondo dan Kick Boxing. “Ini sekaligus seleksi PON juga dan menambah pengalaman para atlet,” jelasnya.
Sementara itu Ketua KONI Babel Ricky Kurniawan berpesan kepada seluruh atlet untuk tidak cepat berpuas diri menjadi yang terbaik di Babel. “Keluarkan kemampuan terbaik, semoga bisa menjadi yang terbaik bukan hanya di Bangka Belitung tapi di nasional atau internasional,” imbuhnya. (***)
