BPOM dan Pemkab Babar MoU Pengawasan Obat dan Makanan

MENTOK – Sebagai bentuk peningkatan koordinasi dan juga kerja sama, Balai Pengawas Obat dan Makanan (BPOM) Pangkalpinang menandatangani Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) dengan Pemerintah Kabupaten Bangka Barat.

Penandatanganan Mou terkait pengawasan obat dan makanan di wilayah Kabupaten Bangka Barat ini, dilaksanakan di Gedung Koperasi Warga Peltim Kecamatan Mentok, pada Selasa (5/12/2023).

Bupati Bangka Barat H. Sukirman berharap dengan adanya kerja sama ini masyarakat Kabupaten Bangka Barat mendapatkan edukasi mengenai obat dan makanan yang layak untuk dikonsumsi.

“Banyak sekali manfaat, ini kan menyangkut kesehatan anak-anak kita dan termasuk masyarakat. Dengan adanya pengawasan di BPOM ini setidaknya dapat menekan peredaran barang-barang kadaluarsa, jajanan anak sekolah, begitu pula peredarannya di pasaran,” ujar Sukirman.

“Mudah-mudahan ada kerja sama ini warga Bangka Barat menjadi selalu sehat. Dengan sehat maka biaya untuk berobatnya dapat ditekan sehingga tidak mengganggu rumah tangga,” imbuh dia.

Di lain pihak Kepala BPOM Pangkalpinang Agus Riyanto mengatakan, pengawasan terhadap peredaran obat dan makanan di pasaran dilakukan secara berkelanjutan. Pengawasan dilakukan dengan menggunakan dua metode yakni pengawasan premarket dan post market.

“Premarket itu artinya pengawasan yang dilakukan selama produk itu belum diproduksi. Kami melakukan pendampingan terhadap pelaku usaha obat dan makanan agar produk yang dihasilkan itu aman dan layak dikonsumsi masyarakat,” ujarnya.

“Kalau post market ialah pengawasan yang dilakukan terhadap obat dan makanan yang sudah beredar di masyarakat. Jadi, kami melakukan pengawasan terhadap sarana distribusi dan produk yang sudah beredar di lapangan,” tambah Agus Riyanto. (SK)
