PANGKALPINANG – Penjabat (Pj) Gubernur Kepulauan Bangka Belitung (Kep. Babel), Suganda Pandapotan Pasaribu berkesempatan hadir pada pelantikan Pengurus Daerah (PD Perhimpunan Indonesia Tionghoa (Inti) Kep. Bangka Belitung, Minggu (11/6/2023) bertempat di Bangka City Hotel.
PD Perhimpunan Inti Kep. Babel sendiri diketuai Hendy Suwandi. Pelantikan dilakukan langsung oleh Ketua Umum Teddy Sugianto. Perhimpunan Inti dibentuk sejak tahun 1999 di Jakarta.
Dalam sambutannya, Pj gubernur mengucapkan selamat kepada pengurus daerah yang dilantik. Perhimpunan Inti merupakan organisasi sosial kemasyarakatan bersifat kebangsaan, bebas, mandiri, nirlaba, dan non-partisan.
“Tentunya organisasi ini berperan aktif dalam dinamika proses pembangunan bangsa, antara lain penuntasan masalah Tionghoa di Indonesia, menuju terwujudnya bangsa Indonesia yang kokoh, rukun bersatu dalam keharmonisan, bhinneka, saling menghargai dan saling percaya,” ungkapnya.
Pihaknya berharap, pengurus yang dilantik dapat melaksanakan program-program kerjanya dengan penuh profesionalisme dan dedikasi tinggi dalam rangka memajukan organisasi, daerah, bangsa dan negara khususnya Kep. Babel.
Di Kep. Babel sendiri, diceritakan Sugada, ada hal menarik yang sangat jarang ditemui , yakni konflik di antara Etnis Tionghoa dan Melayu. Kekompakan hubungan Etnis Melayu dan Tionghoa di Kep. Babel telah dibuktikan pada saat pecahnya kerusuhan Mei 1998 di Jakarta dan sejumlah tempat lainnya dimana penduduk etnis Tionghoa di Bangka Belitung benar-benar terlindungi.
“Bahkan sejarah Babel juga tidak pernah mencatat adanya kerusuhan rasial besar menimpa etnis Tionghoa karena hal ini tidak terlepas dari hubungan yang sudah lama terjalin antar etnis di Pulau Bangka dan Belitung. Fenomena menarik yang juga terjadi di Babel adalah etnis Tionghoa dan Melayu bersatu dalam melawan penjajah Belanda karena mereka sama-sama menderita pada saat itu,” jelasnya.
Tidak mengherankan, lanjut Pj Gubernur, jika muncul semboyan dalam bahasa Hakka Thong Ngin Fan Ngin Jit Jong, yang bermakna orang Tionghoa dan Melayu itu sama atau setara. Semboyan ini bukan hanya sekadar sebuah jargon, tetapi buah dari kehidupan bersama selama tiga ratus tahun lebih.
“Kekhasan pembauran yang terjadi antara etnis Tionghoa dan Melayu di Bangka dan di Belitung bukan merupakan suatu hal yang tidak dapat dilepaskan dari sejarah yang terjadi di dua Pulau ini. Saya berharap Perhimpunan Inti bisa hadir bersama Pemerintah sesuai dengan visinya yaitu menjadi organisasi yang maju, modern, bercitra internasional, berorientasi pada Kebangsaan Indonesia, menghargai hak asasi manusia, egaliter, pluralis, inklusif, demokratis, dan transparan,” harapnya.
Diharapkan dengan adanya pengurus Inti, maka bisa berkontribusi yang positif di masyarakat. Jadi tidak boleh lagi ada pembedaan-pembedaan ini Tionghoa ini Melayu, kehadiran pengurus inti yang sudah dilantik hari ini mudah-mudahan dapat membantu pembangunan yang ada di provinsi Bangka Belitung agar lebih bagus lagi. Karena semua masyarakat bisa terlibat yang mana nantinya diharapkan bisa berpartisipasi untuk membangun masyarakat di Bangka Belitung ini, diawali dengan kegiatan bansos katarak, yang menjadi salah satu bukti kehadiran Inti dan mudah-mudahan bisa lebih banyak lagi, tidak hanya katarak mungkin bisa terkait dengan stunting, juga bisa ikut terkait dengan penanganan kemiskinan, ungkapnya.
Hadir juga dalam pelantikan tersebut jajaran Pengurus Pusat Inti, Kabid Humas Polda Babel, Kepala Kejati, Kasiterrem 045/Garuda Jaya, Ketua Pembina Kehormatan Pengurus Pusat Perhimpunan INTI Muliawan Jahja, Ketua Yayasan A New Vision Indonesia Robert Njo L, Direktur RS Kalbu Intan Medika (KIM), Ketua DPRD Bangka Tengah Me Hoa dan Sekda Pangkalpinang Mie Go.
