Punya Komitmen Kelola Lingkungan, PT Timah Tbk Raih Dua PROPER Emas Tahun 2022

JAKARTA — PT Timah Tbk meraih dua Proper Emas dalam ajang Program Penilaian Peringkat Kinerja Perusahaan Dalam Pengelolaan Lingkungan Hidup (PROPER) 2022 yang diselenggarakan Kementerian Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan (KLHK).

Penghargaan PROPER Emas ini diraih oleh PT Timah Tbk Unit Metalurgi Muntok dan PT Timah Tbk Wilayah Operasi Kepri dan Riau.

PROPER Emas ini diserahkan oleh Wakil Presiden Republik Indonesia, K.H. Ma’ruf Amin didampingi Menteri Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan (KLHK) Siti Nurbaya kepada Direktur Operasi dan Produksi PT Timah Tbk Purwoko dan Kepala Unit Produksi Kepulauan Riau, Ari Wibowo dalam Ajang Anugerah Lingkungan PROPER 2022 yang dilaksanakan di Istana Wakil Presiden RI, Kamis (29/12/2022).

Selain meraih Proper EMAS, Emiten Berkode TINS juga meraih PROPER Hijau yang diraih oleh PT Timah Tbk UPTP Batu Besi.

Sedangkan untuk PROPER Biru diraih oleh PT Timah Tbk Unit Tambang darat Sungailiat, PT Timah Tbk Unit Penambangan Timah Primer Pemali, PT Timah Tbk – UPDB BPP Bangka Barat, PT Timah Tbk – Wilasi II Bangka Selatan, PT Timah Tbk UPTP Wilayah Bangka TB Paku dan PT Timah Tbk Wilasi Belitung.

Anak usaha TINS juga berhasil meraih PROPER Biru yang diraih oleh PT Timah Industri, PT Dok dan Perkapalan Air Kantung Unit Galangan Selindung dan PT DOk dan Perkapalan Air Kantung, Keteknikan Sarana dan Balai Karya.

Menteri Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan (KLHK) Siti Nurbaya dalam laporannya mengatakan, tahun ini, Kementerian Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan (KLHK) melakukan penilaian terhadap 3200 unit entitas usaha.

Sebanyak 51 perusahaan meraih peringkat Emas, 170 perusahaan meraih peringkat hijau, sebanyak 2031 perusahaan peringkat biru dan 887 peringkat merah, dua perusahaan meraih peringkat hitam dan 59 perusahaan yang tidak diumumkan.

“PROPER merupakan program penilain terhadap kinreja lingkungan perushaaan atas upaya perlindungan dan pengelolaan lingkungan. Dengan tujuan untuk mendorong dunia usaha dapat meningkatkan kinerja pengelolaan lingkungan,” katanya.

Siti Nurbaya melanjutkan, penilaian proper dilakukan Dewan Pertimbangan Proper yang imparsial dan independen yang terdiri dari unsur akademisi dan tokoh masyarakart. Dengan variabel penilian yang terus berkembang setiap tahunnya seperti inovasi sosial dan lainnya. Tahun ini ada kriteria baru yakni Green Leadership.

Sementara itu, Wakil Presiden Republik Indonesia K.H. Ma’ruf Amin mengapresiasi semua perusahaan yang telah berkomitmen dalam melakukan pengolaan lingkungan dalam menjalankan proses bisnisnya.

“Kriteria penilaian semakin tahun makin kompleks tahun ini penilaian mencakup penilaian daur hidup dan pelaksanaan inovasi sosial dan green leadership. Saya berharap semakin banyak perusahaan yang menjadi agen perubahan untuk ikut menjaga lingkungan dan mengurangi dampak lingkungan,” katanya.

Ia menyebutkan, perusahaan yang mengikuti penilaian PROPER semakin meningkat, hal ini berarti semakin banyak perusahaan yang berperan dalam pengelolaan lingkungan. Upaya Inovasi sosial yang dilakukan diharapkan dapat terus berkesinambungan sehingga bisa memberikan peningkatan kesejahteraan bagi masyarakat.

“Selamat kepada perusahaan penerima PROPER terutama peringkat emas, kinerja perusahaan terbukti menjadi terdepan dalam pengelolaan lingkungan. Saudara adalah inspirasi dan motivasi bagi perusahaan lainnya untuk meningkatkan kinerja pengelolaan lingkungan,” katanya.

Sementara itu, Sekretaris Perusahaan PT Timah Tbk Abdullah Umar Baswedan mengatakan, ini merupakan tahun kedua PT Timah Tbk Unit Metalurgi Muntok meraih PROPER Emas.

Tahun ini, PT Timah Tbk meraih tambahan PROPER Emas dari PT Timah Tbk Wilayah Operasi Kepri dan Riau yang sebelumnya meraih PROPER Hijau.

“Dengan bertambahnya raihan PROPER Emas di tahun ini merupakan usaha konkret PT Timah Tbk sebagai perusahaan pertambangan untuk menjadi lebih baik dalam pengelolaan lingkungan dan pemberdayaan masyarakat,” ucapnya.

PT Timah Tbk kata dia terus berupaya maksimal untuk meningkatkan inovasi pengelolaan lingkungan yang berbasis pemberdayaan masyarakat, sejalan dengan visi perusahaan untuk menjadi perusahaan pertambangan terkemuka di dunia yang ramah lingkungan.

Anggota Holding Pertambangan Indonesia MIND ID melakukan inovasi sosial untuk mendukung kinerja perusahaan dalam meraih PROPER Emas yakni melalui Kampong Amoi yang dilaksanakan di Kelurahan Tanjung dan Desa Air Limau Kecamatan Muntok, Kabupaten Bangka Barat dan Pulau Tahan Iklim di Pulau Setunak, Desa Gelam, Kecamatan Selat Gelam, Kabupaten Karimun di Provinis Kepuluaun Riau.

Melalui Kampong Amoi merupakan akronim dari Agro Mandiri dan Terintegrasi (Amoi). Di Kampong Amoi ini PT Timah Tbk bersama Gapoktan Tanjung Jaya melaksanakan kegiatan pertanian yang terintegrasi dengan peternakan.

Kampong Amoi ini merupakan upaya PT Timah Tbk untuk menjawab potensi dan permasalahan yang dihadapi Kelurahan Tanjung dan Desa Air Limau seperti ketahanan pangan yang masih didatangkan dari luar. PT Timah Tbk mendukung dengan menyediakan sarana dan prasarana, memberikan pelatihan teknis dan pendukung lainnya.

Melalui program Kampung Amoi , PT Timah Unit Metalurgi Muntok berhasil memberdayakan kelompok tani yang telah ada dan kelompok baru dengan pengembangan kegiatan vermik komposting, pertanian holtikultura dan aquaponic. Program ini berhasil meningkatkan ketahanan rumah tangga melalui replikasi aquaponic di pekarangan rumah masyarakat.

Sedangkan di Pulau Tahan Iklim di Pulau Setunak, PT Timah Tbk Wilayah Operasi Kepri dan Riau. Di Pulau Setunak, PT Timah Tbk mengajak masyarakat terlibat dalam upaya penanggulangan perubahan iklim.

Berbagai program dilaksanakan PT Timah Tbk di Pulau Setunak seperti melakukan pelatihan dan budidaya kepiting, pelatihan dan pendidikan serta penanaman mangrove.

Untuk mendukung ketahanan pangan masyarakat, PT Timah Tbk memberikan pelatihan budidaya sayur hidroponik bagi kelompok perempuan. Selain itu, PT Timah Tbk mengajak masyarakat mengolah sampah sehingga bisa memberikan dampak ekonomi bagi masyarakat.
