PANGKALPINANG – Ketua Tim Penggerak PKK (TP PKK) Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung (Babel), Maya Suganda Pasaribu menyatakan bahwa pihaknya selalu siap dan berkomitmen dalam membantu pemerintah daerah untuk menurunkan angka stunting di Babel.
Hal ini disampaikannya lewat Rapat Koordinasi Tim Percepatan Penurunan Stunting (TPPS) Tingkat Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung bertempat di Ruang Pasir Padi, Kantor Gubernur Babel, Senin (19/6/23) yang dipimpin langsung oleh Pj Gubernur Babel, Suganda Pandapotan.
TP PKK sendiri memiliki kader hingga ke desa yang juga bertugas ke arah penurunan stunting, termasuk kerja sama dalam memberikan makanan tambahan kolaborasi dengan Dinas Sosial Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Desa (Dinsos PMD).
Dalam kesempatan ini, dirinya menekankan agar kader juga dapat berfokus ke anak yang berisiko tinggi, serta ibu hamil yang sangat membutuhkan asupan gizi.
“Kalau kita hanya terfokus anak stunting saja, kita jadi lupa dengan ibu hamil dan anak-anak yang berisiko tinggi. Dan terpenting tepat sasaran,” ungkapnya.
Dirinya juga menilai perlunya peran tokoh masyarakat dan agama dalam hal memberikan pemahaman tentang pernikahan dini kurang dari usia 17 tahun.
“Secara hukum kita tidak bisa melarang mereka menikah, tetapi kita bisa memberikan penyuluhan terkait akibat pernikahan dini,” paparnya.
TP PKK juga sangat mengapresiasi peran bidan khususnya yang bertugas di desa-desa karena, mereka secara dominan memberikan pendampingan langsung kepada masyarakat khususnya kaum ibu.
“Kami dari provinsi sudah melakukan upgrade bagaimana mereka mengajak ke posyandu dan peran serta sektor yg lain. Ada kader yang aktif sekalian menjemput dan memberi undangan sehingga kunjungan posyandu itu tercapai,” jelasnya. (***)
