JAKARTA – Politisi senior PPP yang juga Wakil Ketua Umum (Waketum), Arsul Sani menilai Menteri Badan Usaha Milik Negara (BUMN) Erick Thohir sangat memahami persoalan bangsa dan selalu menawarkan solusi.
Bahkan, Arsul Sani mengakui Erick Thohir menjadi kandidat yang sangat diperhitungkan untuk menjadi pemimpin Indonesia ke depan. Hal ini tak lepas dari kerja-kerja Erick Thohir selama bergabung dalam kabinet kerja Presiden Joko Widodo dan Ma’ruf Amin. Erick Thohir pun kerap menghadirkan solusi-solusi jitu dalam menyelesaikan berbagai masalah yang dihadapi negara.
Pengamat politik dari UIN Alauddin Makassar, Firdaus Muhammad menilai Arsul Sani terkesan dan tertarik dengan kinerja dan prestasi Erick Thohir.
Pujian itu, kata Firdaus Muhammad, bisa diartikan sebagai lampu hijau dari partai berlambang Ka’bah itu mendukung Erick Thohir maju Pillres 2024. Bahkan, pernyataan tersebut bisa diartikan sebagai wacana untuk mendapat respon publik dan partai politik lainnya.
“Pernyataan itu mengindikasikan PPP memberi lampu hijau bagi Erick meski harus berkoalisi. PPP bicara pilpres sebagai wacana untuk dapat respon publik dan partai lainnya,” kata Firdaus Muhammad saat dihubungi, Kamis (22/12).
Menurut Firdaus Muhammad, Erick Thohir merupakan sosok yang sangat lengkap, baik popularitas dan memiliki jaringan tingkat nasional hingga internasional. Hal ini membuat beberapa partai politik melirik jelang Pilpres 2024.
“Erick Thohir memiliki potensi popularitas dan ketokohan secara nasional bahkan jejaring internasional,” ucapnya.
Dikatakan Firdaus Muhammad, pernyataan PPP terkait sosok Erick Thohir sangat beralasan kuat, karena momentum Pilpres semakin dekat dan PPP belum menemukan tokoh yang telat untuk diusung, baik sebagai capres maupun cawapres pada Pilpres 2024 nanti.
“Berbekal itu, Erick layak didorong maju pilpres setidaknya dalam posisi wapres. Artinya, cuitan PPP itu beralasan,” jelasnya.
Akademisi UIN Alauddin Makassar itu melanjutkan, saat ini elektabilitas Erick Thohir terus meningkat. Meskipun dikatakan masih baru dalam panggung politik Indonesia, tetapi Erick Thohir sudah dikenal luas masyarakat Indonesia.
“Paling tidak pada posisi cawapres, layak dari ketokohan dan dana, tetapi butuh kendaraan partai,” jelasnya.
Sebelumnya, Wakil Ketua Umum (Waketum) PPP, Arsul Sani menyebutkan Menteri BUMN Erick Thohir menjadi kandidat yang sangat diperhitungkan untuk menjadi pemimpin Indonesia ke depan. Apalagi orang nomor satu di Kementerian BUMN ini dinilai Arsul sangat memahami persoalan bangsa dan selalu menawarkan solusi.
“Saya sudah berhubungan dengan Pak Erick Thohir sejak lama dan Pak Erick Thohir ini saya kira mengerti persoalan bangsa dan negara ini dan juga menawarkan jalan keluar,” kata Arsul.
Wakil Ketua MPR RI ini berpendapat selayaknya komposisi pemimpin Indonesia diisi politisi dan profesional, baik capres ataupun cawapres diperlukan sosok profesional yang mengerti persoalan bangsa. Tak sekedar mengerti dan memahami, tetapi juga bisa menawarkan solusi agar Indonesia bisa menjadi negara serta bangsa yang lebih baik lagi ke depannya. (***)
