PANGKALPINANG – PJ Gubernur Kepulauan Bangka Belitung, Suganda Pandapotan Pasaribu menyebut masih banyak masyarakat Bangka Belitung miskin, tidak sekolah dan angka Stunting masih tinggi.
Sugand mengajak para mahasiswa PMII Bangka dan Pangkalpinang untuk berpikir secara holistik atau menyeluruh.
Hal itu dikatakan Suganda saat menerima audensi pengurus cabang Pergerakan Mahasiswa Islam Indonesia (PMII), Pangkalpinang, Senin (19/6/2023).
“Sebagai mahasiswa, harusnya kalian berfikir secara menyeluruh. Mengapa Kepulauan Babel yang kaya ini, tapi masyarakat yang tidak bersekolah masih banyak, masih banyak yang miskin, masih ada stunting,” ucap Pj Gubernur Suganda dalam audensi bersama pengurus PMII, Senin (19/6/2023).
“Ada apa dengan daerah kami? apa yang harus diperbaiki? apa yang harus kami kontribusikan? itu yang seharusnya rekan-rekan mahasiswa sekalian pikirkan,” timpalnya.
Dalam kesempatan tersebut, Pj Gubernur Suganda menginginkan Kepulauan Babel dapat menjadi daerah yang semakin baik lagi kedepannya.
Pj Gubernur Suganda menyebut, bahwa saat ini pihaknya sedang membenahi merit sistem, agar nanti para pemuda yang akan melamar menjadi ASN di Kepulauan Babel, dapat bersaing secara adil dan bisa mengabdi untuk ikut berkontribusi dalam membangun Bumi Serumpun Sebalai.
“Sebagai Pj Gubernur Kepulauan Babel, saya tidak memiliki kepentingan apapun secara politik. Saya tegaskan juga bahwa dan dari awal, saya tidak pernah mencalonkan diri sebagai Pj Gubernur Kepulauan Babel,” tegasnya.
“Yang pasti, ketika saya sudah ditunjuk dan ditugaskan sebagai Pj Gubernur Kepulauan Babel, saya akan fokus untuk membenahi daerah ini, supaya Bumi Serumpun Sebalai menjadi daerah yang luar biasa dan modern,” tutupnya.
Diketahui, dalam kesempatan tersebut sejumlah mahasiswa yang tergabung dalam pengurus cabang PMII Bangka dan Pangkalpinang menyampaikan sejumlah tuntutan terkait tata kelola pemerintahan, pemberantasan korupsi dan melaporkan maling besar, yang sempat viral di Bumi Serumpun Sebalai. (***)
