BANGKA – Penjabat (Pj) Gubernur Kepulauan Bangka Belitung (Babel) Suganda Pandapotan Pasaribu menghadiri peluncuran buku “In Memoriam K.H. Ahmad Hijazi Jamain: Ulama yang Dirindukan Umat” yang berlangsung di Pondok Pesantren Al-Islam Kemuja, Kabupaten Bangka, Senin (19/6/2023).
Dalam sambutannya, Pj Gubernur Suganda menyambut baik atas diluncurkannya buku setebal 405 halaman karya 54 penulis di hari yang bertepatan dengan 100 hari wafatnya ulama kharimastik tersebut.
Semasa hidupnya, sosok Pimpinan Pondok Pesantren Al-Islam Kemuja itu, banyak meninggalkan catatan kenangan yang sulit dilupakan. Ia dikenal sebagai sosok yang berwibawa, sederhana dan suka berbagi di mata kerabatnya.
“Beliau adalah teladan sekaligus putra terbaik Bangka Belitung. Dibuktikan dengan ribuan pelayat mengantarkan jenazah almarhum ke tempat peristirahatan terakhirnya. Ini adalah teladan luar biasa yang diberikan oleh guru kita,” ungkapnya.
Berbicara toleransi, Pj Gubernur Suganda mengatakan Indonesia dikenal sebagai negara muslim terbesar di dunia yang sangat toleran dan itu sudah tercermin di Kepulauan Babel.
“Buktinya, dengan saya pun hadir malam ini. Inilah keragaman yang membedakan kita dari negara lain. Inilah yang harus kita kembangkan kedepan membangun Babel seperti yang diajarkan guru kita KH Ahmad Hijazi Jamain,” ungkapnya.
Dalam kesempatan itu, dirinya juga berharap peran aktif Pondok Pesantren untuk memberikan edukasi bagi anak-anak akan bahaya pernikahan dini.
Hal ini dikarenakan secara psikologis pasangan tersebut belum matang, serta belum memiliki pengetahuan yang cukup mengenai kehamilan dan pola asuh anak yang baik dan benar.
“Mari kita bergandengan tangan untuk memberi edukasi akan bahaya pernikahan dini sebagai penyebab masalah stunting di Babel,” tutupnya. (***)
