Pembangunan Vihara Sampurna Maitreya di Mulai

MENTOK – Wakil Bupati Bangka Barat Bong Ming Ming meletakkan batu pertama pembangunan Vihara Sempurna Maitreya di Kelurahan Sungai Daeng, Kecamatan Mentok, Sabtu (4/11/2023).

Dalam kesempatan ini Bong Ming Ming mengatakan, pihaknya menyambut baik rencana pembangunan vihara ini, dan siap mendukung baik secara moril maupun materiel. Ini ditujukan agar umat Buddha di Kecamatan Mentok, bisa mendapat tempat peribadatan yang representatif.

“Kita sudah advokasi kemarin mengenai urusan perizinannya kita fasilitasi. Terus ke depannya ya sebagaimana berdasarkan aturan Permendagri, semua boleh kita bantu (anggaran), harus sesuai dengan aturan yang berlaku melalui proposal dan sebagainya,” kata Bong Ming Ming.

Dengan hadirnya vihara ini, Bong Ming Ming berharap tidak hanya difungsikan sebagai tempat peribadatan saja, tetapi juga bisa difungsikan sebagai wadah pemberdayaan masyarakat, baik dari aspek spiritual, sumber daya manusia (SDM), bahkan ekonomi.

“Ini menggambarkan bahwa Kabupaten Bangka Barat yang pluralisme terdiri (dari) berbagai berbagai etnis dan berbagai macam agama. Yang paling penting ialah agama sebagai pondasi untuk memperkuat kehidupan,” ucapnya.

Sementara, Ketua Mapanbumi DPC Bangka Barat Bestari, mensyukuri atas pembangunan rumah ibadah baru Buddha ini. Sebab, sudah hampir 31 tahun umat Buddha aliran Maitreya sudah menunggu adanya tempat ibadah yang representatif.

“Kita bersyukur dengan adanya pembangunan tempat ibadah ini, karena sejak tahun 1992 umat Buddha sekte Maitreya di Mentok tempat ibadahnya berpindah-pindah. Karena tidak ada tempat ibadah yang tetap, kita pindah dari rumah ke rumah umat kami yang bersedia bangunan rumahnya dijadikan tempat ibadah,” kata Bestari.

Dengan hadirnya Vihara Sempurna Maitreya Mentok, Bestari berharap bisa bekerja sama dengan pemerintah Kabupaten Bangka Barat untuk menjaga kedamaian dalam menjalankan kehidupan sehari-hari.

“Saling ada pengayoman antar sesama agar pembangunan kami ini lancar maksimal. Kalau bicara lahan, ini dihibahkan salah satu umat kita. Untuk luasnya 3.050 meter persegi, tapi untuk bangunan tempat ibadah 438 meter persegi,” ujarnya. (SK)
