PANGKALPINANG – Pengurus Pemuda Ikatan Cendekiawan Indonesia (ICMI) Provinsi Kepulauan dilantik, di Ruang OR, Kanntor Waliikota Paangkalpinang, Jumat (2/6/20023).
Pelantikan ini dihadiri Ketua ICMI Pusat, Ismail Rumadan. Pada kesempatan itu, Ismail mengucapkan terimakasih ke Wali Kota Pangkalpinang Maulan Aklil atau Molen.
“Terima kasih dan apresiasi kepada Wali Kota Pangkalpinang yang telah memfasilitasi pelantikan ini dan mendukung Pemuda ICMI Bangka Belitung,” kata Ismail ke Molen yang hadir pada acara ini.
“Kami berterima kasih dan bersyukur keinginan pengurus direspon pak wali kota dengan memfasilitasi hari ini,” tambahnya.
Pada kesempatan sama, Molen mengatakan dengan dilantiknya Pengurus Pemuda ICMI Wilayah Bangka Belitung memberi sebuah harapan ke masyarakat bagaimana pemuda cendikiawan dapat berperan melalui inovasi dan daya pikirnya dalam memberikan solusi terhadap permasalahan yang dihadapi saat ini.
“Saya yakin dan percaya pemuda cendekiawan ini bisa berkontribusi untuk membantu permasalahan dalam kondisi sekarang. Itu yang kita harapkan,” kata Molen.
Kemudian Molen manyebutkan peran pemuda cendekiawan sangat diperlukan di tengah gempuran era digital dengan kondisi yang dihadapi sekarang.
Diharapkan melalui mereka lah dapat menyebarkan pemahaman untuk berpegang teguh dan tidak terpecah belah termakan hoaks.
“Sangat mendukung kegiatan-kegiatan positif pemuda ICMI,” kata Molen.
Ssedangkan Ketua Pemuda ICMI Babel, Muhammad Riska Ramadhan menggatakan
Pengurus Pemuda ICMI Babel akan mengadakan rapat kerja untuk melaksanakan program-program, terutama dalam menangani permasalahan keumatan.
“Bukan hanya kemiskinan, tapi berita viral-memviral , hoaks, itu menjadi masalah keumatan. Kadang masyarakat bingung dengan berita-berita viral, tidak tahu itu benar atau hoaks. Masyarakat menjadi bingung, apalagi dengan terjadi viral itu langsung dimakan mentah oleh masyarakat, sehingga itu akan menjadi fitnah,” kata dia.
” Hal-hal ini lah yang menjadi tambahan utama tugas ICMI Bangka Belitung dalam mencerdaskan masyarakat. Membuat masyarakat berimbang dalam menanggapi informasi dan berita viral,” tambah Riska. (*)
