PANGKALPINANG – Eka Mulya Putra atau EMP membagikan bibit aren atau pohon kabung ke masyarakat, di Sekretariat AETI, Bukit Baru Pangkalpinang, Minggu (16/4/3)2023).
Pembagian bibit aren ini sebagai upaya mendorong perbaikan lingkungan hidup dan pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat secara berkelanjutan.
EMP melalui keterangan resminya, Selasa pagi, menuliskan, aren memiliki banyak kelebihan dan bisa menjadi alternatif sumber ekonomi masyarakat.
Diketahui EMP adalah calon Anggota DPD RI dapil Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung dan Ketua Harian Asosiasi Eksportir Timah Indonesia.
Melalui program EMPATI BABEL bertekat membangun ekonomi masyarakat Babel salah satunya melalui tanaman aren.
Menurut EMP bibit aren telah dibagikan ke masyarakat di sejumlah kabupaten. Antara lain Kabupaten Bangka dan Bangka Tengah.
“Saya mendorong masyarakat untuk memulai penanaman aren agar menjadi sumber ekonomi baru. Secara ekonomis prospeknya sangat menjanjikan,” kata EMP.
Program EMPATI adalah upaya nyata EMP membantu membangkitkan ekonomi masyarakat khususnya di sektor perkebunan.
Kemudian EMP mendorong sejumlah pelaku usaha di sektor pertambangan untuk ambil bagian dalam upaya membantu masyarakat menanam aren.
Gagasan EMP melalui EMPATI dapat menjadi wadah bagi pihak manapun untuk berkolaborasi membantu masyarakat melalui tanaman aren.
“Selain memiliki potensi ekonomi yang tinggi, aren dapat menjaga keseimbangan lingkungan. Perawatannya pun cukup mudah,” kata EMP.
EMP menilai, upaya meningkatkan ekononi masyarakay harus terus dilakukan dan harus berkolabotasi dengan berbagai pihak.
Pembagian kali ini, EMP menyerahkan bibit aren ke warga Desa Petaling, Bangka, Hidayat dan ke warga Desa Namang, Bangka Tengah.
Aren yang dibagikan memiliki kualitas baik dan hasil pembibitan sendiri oleh EMP. (*)
