PANGKALPINANG – Upaya reklamasi PT Timah Tbk, terus berlanjut. Pada 2023, akan dilakukan penenggelaman artificial reef, restocking cumi, pemantauan kualitas air laut, penanaman mangrove, membuat penahan abrasi dan restocking kepiting bakau.
Reklamasi laut yang dilakukan PT Timah Tbk dilaksanakan di Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung dan Provinsi Kepulauan Riau.
Untuk artificial reef TINS akan menenggelamkan 1.920 artificial reef atau terumbu buatan yang akan dilaksanakan di 11 titik yang akan dilaksanakan di Pulau Bangka.
Selain itu TINS juga akan melakukan restocking cumi dengan target 20.000 anakan cumi untuk memperbanyak populasi cumi.
Penenggelaman artificial akan dilaksanakan di Pulau Bangka.
TINS juga akan melakukan pemantauan kualitas laut di sekitar aktivitas operasi laut PT Timah Tbk.
Sedangkan di Provinsi Kepulauan Riau reklamasi laut dilaksanakan di Karimun dan Kundur dengan menanam mangrove, melakukan restocking 1.400 ekor kepiting bakau dan membuat penahan abrasi sepanjang 450 meter.
Kepala Bidang Komunikasi Perusahaan PT Timah Tbk, Anggi Siahaan mengatakan dalam melaksanakan reklamasi laut PT Timah Tbk melibatkan masyarakat sekitar untuk mendorong program pemberdayaan masyarakat.
“Penenggelaman artificial reef ini diharapkan dapat memberikan dampak kelestarian ekosistem laut, sehingga bisa mendorong pariwisata bawah laut dan menjadi rumah ikan yang bisa dimanfaatkan para nelayan,” ucap Anggi.
PT Timah Tbk, kata Anggi terus berkomitmen melakukan pengelolaan lingkungan yang berkelanjutan sesuai dengan visi perusahaan menjadi perusahaan pertambangan kelas dunia yang ramah lingkungan.
Dalam melaksanakan reklamasi laut PT Timah Tbk juga bersinergi dengan masyarakat, akademisi, hingga yayasan.
“Reklamasi laut merupakan komitmen perusahaan untuk menjaga keseimbangan ekosistem laut,” kata Anggi.(*)
