BELINYU – Penjabat (Pj) Gubernur Kepulauan Bangka Belitung (Babel), Suganda Pandapotan Pasaribu mengingatkan masyarakat untuk mewaspadai berita hoax atau berita bohong yang banyak tersebar di internet.

Hal ini disampaikan Suganda dalam sambutannya saat Ramah Tamah dan Makan Malam bersama masyarakat, yang berlangsung di Balai Pertemuan Desa Bintet, Belinyu, Kabupaten Bangka, Senin (7/8/2023).

“Salah satu tu bencana yang harus kita antisipasi saat ini ialah bencana politik. Bencana politik ini dimulai dengan bermunculannya berita-berita hoax, yang didalamnya, ada ujaran kebencian dan sejenisnya,” ujar Pj Gubernur Suganda.

Dalam kesempatan itu, Pj Gubernur Suganda meminta masyarakat untuk lebih berhati-hati. Karena menurutnya, bisa saja ada orang-orang yang tidak bertanggungjawab yang menghembuskan sejumlah hal yang tidak benar, jadi dikira benar oleh masyarakat.

“Mengutip kata-kata dari Paul Joseph Goebbels, jika kebohongan yang dikampanyekan secara terus menerus dan sistematis, akan berubah menjadi (seolah-olah) kenyataan. Sedangkan kebohongan sempurna, adalah kebenaran yang dipelintir sedikit saja. Jadi, kita harus berhati-hati. Jangan mudah terprovokasi,” ucapnya.

Lebih lanjut, Pj Gubernur Suganda mengatakan bahwa melalui program Gubernur Langsung Eksekusi Kerja Bersama Membangun Bangka Belitung (Gule Kabung), ia ingin membuktikan bahwa pemerintah provinsi (pemprov) Kepulauan Babel, benar-benar peduli pada masyarakat.

“Melalui Program Gule Kabung ini, kita juga berupaya untuk memerangi hoax. Kemudian, dalam pelaksanaannya, di program Gule Kabung ini, kita bisa bertemu dan berdiskusi secara langsung serta bersinergi. Apa saja yang dibutuhkan masyarakat, kita cari solusinya bersama-sama,” tutupnya.

Saat sesi tanya jawab, tampak masyarakat setempat sangat antusias, karena sejumlah pertanyaan terkait kepemudaan, perkebunan, permasalahan nelayan dan lainnya, dijawab langsung oleh pimpinan terkait, seperti Kepala Desa, Kepala Dinas, Ketua DPRD, bahkan Pj Gubernur Suganda sendiri.
